I want to start a little topic about the Action replay codes for the Saturn.

I use the 4mb ram action replay on a BLUE STEEL chip modded Pal console model 2 (grey round buttons).
I use a 60hz switch to get the correct speed, & RGB scart cable for the best quality.

But.. The saturn version lags alot more then the PSX.

I wonder if there are any action replay code to remove shadows when running, or other graphical less important stuff etc.
to reduce lag.

Or maybe an another fix.
Some consoles can be overclock modded with a switch for "overclock mode" without getting overheated.

Tested many codes, but only gets black screen, either or without comms enabled.. after SEGA logo.

Only freezes if I try to use any action replay code.

Could it be because my Dracula X CDr was originally Region USA patched?
Gonna reburn, or buy the game.

Do you used the master code?? This code is used to make the other codes work fine. On PSX version this is not necessary.

The most complete gameshark section EVER about SotN.

I found some codes and I modified others. Unfortunately I'm the only here who plays the Saturn version.

Yes, the master code was automatically made by it self when I highlighted the column, in the Action replay meny.
(I use the 4 in 1)

Ive already maxed sotn on PSX,PS3,360, Jap PSX version.
Im gonna play alot more on the saturn now.
I havent tried all weapons on saturn, & the Saturn one is complete.
The Muramasa blade is alot more evil on the Saturn Razz

I was thinking it could be possible to remove some shades on the saturn version with the help of a actionreplay code to make it lag less.

Or just mess around with all items code.

I just transfer the saves to the 4 in 1 cart, then grab them when I need them.

I dont have any mutliregion mod.
Just the Blue Steel modchip for CDrs, a 60hz switch & a nice pure RGB signal.
Maybe a region switch would solve it.

Thanx, Ive just gaved him a long email about it.

Also just bought the official game Dracula x saturn version mint on ebay.
(Only had the CDr before)
And a nice green 240 page official konami jap guide book with lots of art in it!

I have the oficial saturn version and the rare Dracula X version for PSX (original).

The white saturn is the one that I used to record my speed-run.

About your guides: Please, post a scan (not all, but show something!). These guides are very rare on my country and I never saw pics or infos about. I'm checking for the guides without success since 2000 and found nothing... Well Done my friend!!

My rarest Castlevania find is Vampires Kiss Snes complete in shrinkwrapped mint condition, for 301 euros from ebay Germany.
Not buy it now, the price was after bidding.
Its damn crazy, but worth to own.

I have tested some and them work.
In gameplay, just press reset on the saturn console each time you want to enable the cheats you have chosen.
Codes seems harmless for the savefiles as long as you do not save!!

Heres the 9999 HP code, after level up it goes 0000 then 0001.. After pressing reset button the first time during gameplay you can see the HP counter go max up to 9999 in 1 second! flashy

This is the modified sub weapon icon code.. A glowing Maria lamp.. lol

Heres an example what happens when activating the "There is always fire" code.
Richter gets firewhip for a short time without using the "no item" crash, even though my current sub weapon is the "Diamond".
Also notice my modified sub icon change slightly after I use up all my hearts, or after item crash!
After a few item crashes the icon changes completly.
But pressing reset will reset the code to the "Maria lamp" icon.


I have not got infinite jump to work.

I had more codes on my action replay that worked with this Master Code!
This is the only working master code Ive found for Nitm!

With an old max status code I just tried my sword familiar makes almost 200 more damage then Alucard.
Alucard can only do maximum 999 without critical hit while sword familiar can do 1168 and maybe more..

Nice pics. Keep loking for unused things. Item mod can give you some great findings, like the ones that you posted.

I wrote these codes on a Yabause emulator so some may not work on a real Sega Saturn console.

Use a library card to teleport with these codes...

This is a Action Replay glitch that I found occurs when two areas in the game try to load at the same time. The glitch can be performed by using the Action Replay code 3605D751 000C during the loading screen when staring a new game. Depending on the last digits of the Action Replay code, you may be sent to different default rooms. The rooms differ in size but not in there pattern of invisible blocks, this leads me to believe that this could possibly even be a glitched version of the Saturn debug room. cyclops

The Teleport code for the PSX verison is the debug room code 80097918 0040, you would just basically change the last 2 digits.

If you use the library card the code works pretty well but there are a lot of graphic glitches. If you start at 0000 and go up it seems to take you to almost every castle location, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agpe1nAuOqo

The Sega Saturn Teleport code that I have provided is the Sega Saturn debug room code, it is in the same memory space as the PSX verison..but sadly, I don't think there is a debug room in the Sega Saturn version. That is why I have called this code the Teleport code and not the Debug room code.

After weeks of work, here it is...how to use Action Replay codes on SSF 12 Beta R3 cheers
I am not sure if this method will work on other Sega Saturn games, but it will work with Castlevania NITM.

First off, for this method to work correctly...you must be using SSF 12 Beta R3 http://down.emucr.com/v2/adovcwu46alvmyz

If your save files of Castlevania NITM are on a older version of SSF...here is a video on how to transfer the save files to
SSF Beta R3...it should work with most older versions http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ay6M7axwr3E

Once you have completed that, you will need to download Cheat Engine http://www.cheatengine.org/

Cheat Engine is basically a Game Shark/Action Replay Device, but it uses different coding.

To transfer a Action Replay code to a Cheat Engine code you will need to use a Hexadecimal calculator...like on
this web page http://www.miniwebtool.com/hex-calculator/



Then it is just basic math...

For a code like 3605D751 001F Fight Bloodlines Dracula...because it starts with 3605...

You will subtract 3605D751 - 2f7eb260 = 68724f1

This is the first part of your Cheat Engine code 68724f1

and to get the second half just convert 1F Hexidecial to Decimal...which would be 31 http://easycalculation.com/hex-converter.php

So your Cheat Engine code is 68724f1 0031

For a code like 1605CA0E 0063 Familiar Max Level...because it starts with 1605

You will subtract 1605CA0E - f7eb25f = 68717af

Then convert 63 Hexadecimal to Decimal...which would be 99...

and now you have your Cheat Engine code 68717af 0099 alien



The coding of SSF is still a little bit different then a Real Sega Saturn...so with some codes you may have to
raise the Hexadecimal to Decimal conversion...so just go up or down 1 or 2...so

like with the Fight Bloodlines Dracula Cheat Engine code 68724f1 0031...you may have to make it 68724f1 0032 or 68724f1 0029.


And lastly, some of the codes just wont work at all or correctly on SSF...so it anyone uses this method
please post the converted Cheat Engine code here... if you can get it to work correctly.

My computer is not running the ssf (freezes every time). I'll do the tips on the future. The math used is easy. I did it when working on psx codes that someone posted years ago. He was hacking the psx version.

Here is the saddest part of my life...LOL. I have a White Japanese Import Sega Saturn in my closet with a Real Official copy of Castlevania Nocturne in the Moon Light...but I never play it. This is because I am addicted to emulators.

I think of selling it to the local video game shop....but can't, because the thought of some one buying it and not knowing
the awesomeness of it....or appreciating it drives me crazy. jocolor

SSF 12 beta R 3 requires at least having DirectX 9.0b on your PC to work correctly. Without it SSF may not open, giving you errors such as this:

XAudio2Create() error.
